Weekend Getaway with The Little Nell

This past weekend, Bryce and I went on our first trip since our honeymoon. We were so excited to get away for the weekend and head to one of our favorite spots, The Little Nell in Aspen! The Little Nell is truly a gem in the most beautiful mountain town. I had the pleasure of staying with them back in November 2018 and again this last weekend. I have to say I absolutely loved being in Aspen during the Summer. The weather could not have been more perfect. The days were warm enough to wear sundresses and the evenings were just cool enough to need a wrap or light jacket.

From the moment we arrived at The Little Nell, we had incredible service from their wonderful team. Everyone felt like family by the end of the weekend and we didn’t want to leave! They also provided hand sanitizer, masks, and sanitizer wipes in our room and I thought that was such a nice detail to include for their guests safety and wellbeing.

On Saturday, we did a sunset adventure cruise and picnic at the top of Aspen mountain with The Little Nell and it was such an amazing experience. The entire setting with the mountains, sunset, and wine and cheese was so beautiful and romantic. I would highly suggest doing this while visiting. I would also recommend wearing boots instead of sandals and maybe bringing an extra layer or two because it does get rather chilly at the top of the mountain, even during the Summer!

I also wanted to mention that it is The Little Nell’s 30th Anniversary Season! They turned 30 Thanksgiving weekend 2019 and will be celebrating through November 2020! They have various specials and celebrations that they are offering until then so if you are planning a trip to Aspen over the next few months, this is the perfect time to do it.

I have included my favorite highlights from our trip and as I look through them, I already want to go back!

A few of our favorite dining options :

–Element 47 (The Little Nell) – If you are a guest at the Nell, this is the ideal breakfast spot. They have a great patio by the pool too.
– Ajax Tavern (The Little Nell) – They have the best cheeseburger and truffle fries, plus a beautiful Mountain View from their spacious patio
– White House Tavern (Hillstone restaurant)- A great casual lunch spot in town
– Meat and Cheese– Great spot to get wine and cheese, sandwiches, and salads
– Casa Tua – I love this spot in Miami and Aspen for lunch or dinner. They have great Italian food and a dark moody ambience.
– Pinons– This restaurant has been around for a long time and is a great dinner spot. It is in an old bank building and the ceiling is original and super cool.
– Matsuhisa– Basically Nobu and amazing
–French Alpine Bistro– Great patio and French cuisine
