This past weekend my boyfriend Bryce and I went to Santa Fe NM for a little Valentine’s Day getaway. I wanted to share the best things to do in Santa Fe because the town is so cool and different. It has a southwestern vibe and I conveniently shot this southwestern print dress right before we left!

We stayed at The Four Seasons and I highly suggest this spot even though it is a few minutes outside of the town. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous and the rooms are amazing. They are nestled in a mountainous area and each room has an incredible view.

We had dinner at Terra the first night and breakfast there each morning. The first full day we were there we explored the actual town of Santa Fe and they have so many great art galleries and small jewelry and clothing shops. All of them have a southwestern flair and everyone we encountered was so kind. We ended up having lunch in town at the La Fonda hotel and it was a great spot, super casual and great Mexican food and cocktails.

That evening we went to Sazon which is a traditional southwestern style cuisine. The chef is pretty well known from Mexico City and known for his variations on mole which is pretty much to die for. (If it sounds like we ate and drank the entire time, that is because we did…)

Saturday we had plans to do an art class in town and had the best time. We painted a traditional looking home in Santa Fe with farolitos and had the best time! We decided to go back to the hotel and hang in the bar/lounge area for lunch and then had a couples massage. We both loved the spa and it was soooo relaxing!

That evening we went to my favorite restaurant of the trip, Geronimo. It was such a fun lively spot and had incredible food and cocktails. All in all it was a great trip with my love. We did have a few bumps in the beginning with flight delays from weather but once we made it out there it was a really great little weekend.

A few other things to know about Santa Fe… It is really cold during the winter (like freezing)! It actually snowed while we were there and apparently they have a ski town which I had no idea about until this trip! Another thing to know is that the Santa Fe airport is much more ideal to fly into but only a few airlines fly there. We flew into Albuquerque and it is a good hour drive to get to Santa Fe from there so you will need a driver or will have to rent a car to get where you need to go. B and I have decided that we want to go on these random trips every now and again to discover cool new places and I am so happy we started here!

PS do you guys like my new site? It finally launched this week and I am sooooo obsessed. xx
