As promised, I wanted to share with you our wedding weekend ceremony and reception which was the most magical and perfect day! From the moment I woke up, I had a smile on my face and couldn’t wait to marry the love of my life!

Our ceremony was at the cutest church in Makena called Keawala’i Congregational church and it has been around since the 1800’s. Not only is it right on the water, but it is incredibly beautiful clad in stone with mature trees surrounding it.

We didn’t want to see each other before the ceremony so our photographer suggested a “first touch” which we loved. We were both placed with our backs to each other and held hands before the ceremony. It was so special because we didn’t get to see each other but we got to have a few moments together where we chatted and touched hands and ended up with beautiful photos.

The ceremony itself was so beautiful. I remember tearing up with happiness as I walked down the aisle and trying to keep it together so I wouldn’t have makeup running down my cheeks before getting to the altar. Once we were up there together, everyone in the crowd faded away and it was just the two of us saying vows to each other for a few special moments.

Afterward, we took photos with our bridesmaids (my sister + Bryce’s 3 sisters) and groomsmen (Bryce’s dad + his brothers-in-law) and our families. We also had the coolest getaway vintage Porsche that said “Just Maui’d”. We scooted off to the reception which was at this gorgeous estate called Ponomakena. If you haven’t heard of it, it is a spacious property on the water in Makena and so dreamy for a wedding. We had an incredible band that we danced the night away to and a photo booth that we took silly photos in with friends. We also had two specialty drinks that tied in personally with Bryce and I, one called the “Just Married Glow” and the other called “The Golden Goose” after our dog. We wanted a really clean palette for the wedding so we went with all white flowers with greenery, chic lanterns for a residential vibe, and clean contemporary furniture rentals.

When thinking about my own look, I have always been obsessed with the late Carolyn Bessette and knew that I wanted a really minimalistic dress. I loved the crisp clean feel of this dress and how simple it was. It also felt perfect for a wedding in Maui. I did a loose undone updo, strappy heels, and custom made my earrings and bracelet from old diamonds. My bouquet and flowers in my hair were Lily’s of the valley and I literally bought my veil online just two weeks before and got so lucky with it being absolutely perfect.
