How to Style a Bar Cart

{ West Elm Bar Cart | Neiman Marcus Cocktail Glasses | Diptyque Candle | Furbish Studio Brass Urchins | Kelly Hoppen Coffee Table Book | A Privileged Life Coffee Table Book | Monique Lhuillier Ice Bucket }

Anyone who knows me knows that I have been obsessing over the perfect bar cart for years now.  It seems crazy but it really has been quite the topic of conversation for me and I finally got one recently!  I was over the moon for this polished nickel bar cart for so many reasons, but loved the clean lines and minimalistic vibe that this one had, while also having a great price as well.  I thought about all of the things that I wanted to put on the bar cart, and realized just how important styling it properly was.  I think a few key components are necessary, one being an array of liquor.  I used whatever I had in my cabinet currently, but obviously I will be adding to this supply in the very near future.  I also think an ice bucket, and coffee table books are a nice addition.  Candles, glassware, and decorative accessories are also great add ons for a pretty display.  Last but definitely not least, are fresh flowers.  I love an all white arrangement of any type of flower because it is classic and goes with everything.  It also really adds life into an area and makes everything smell amazing.  Always remember that less is more, especially when the item is not super large and make sure everything feels like it is properly balanced.  It is pretty safe to say that this is by far my new favorite area of the house and I cannot wait to add to it as time goes on.
