Every season I like to switch up my skincare routine, because when the weather changes, your skin routine should too!  I like to think of skincare the same way I think of fashion.  You switch up the way you dress to accommodate the weather, so why shouldn’t you adjust your skin’s needs with the changing weather the same way too?

The general principal is the same for me year round : drink lots of water, always wash your face every single night, wear SPF daily on your face, neck, hands, and chest, and don’t go in the sun too much.

In the fall the weather cools a bit so my skin tends to dry out more and I combat that by doing several things.

-2x a week I exfoliate to slough off dead skin and do a face mask to put moisture back into my skin.

-Every day I wash my face and put on SPF , a tinted moisturizer cc cream, and then add makeup.

-At night I use makeup wipes to remove my makeup and then apply a serum, eye cream, and heavy night cream.

– I get a facial every season as well which keeps my skin fresh and ready for the new weather those months will bring.

– Last year I discovered an at home derma planing device called Derma Flash that scrapes the fuzz off of your face and it literally was a game changer. My pores were clearer immediately and my makeup goes on extra smooth.  Removing the fuzz also allows my serums and moisturizers to penetrate my skin much easier and quicker.
